You will survive!

Don´t worry!  You will definitely make it!!!!  You will survive!!!!  We will help you!!!

I will survive!!!
Gloria Gaynolds

At first I was afraid I was petrified
Thinking I couldn't live without you by my side
And I've been spending nights
Thinking how you did me wrong
And I grew strong
And I learned how to get along
And now you're back
From outer space
And I find you here with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed that stupid lock
Oh made you leave your key
If I've known for a second you'd be back to bother me
Go on now, go walk out the door
Turn around now
You're not welcome anymore
You're the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
Do you think I'd crumble
Did you think I'd lay down and die?

No, not I, I will survive
Long as I know how to love
I know I'll stay alive
I've got all my life to live
And all my love to give and I'll survive
I, I, I will survive

It took all my strength not to fall apart
Trying' without my mind to mend my broken heart
I spent so many nights
Feeling sorry for myself, how I cried
But now I hold my head up high
And you see me, somebody new
I'm not that lonely little person who's still in love with you
Now you come dropping in
Expecting me to be free
Now I'm saving all my lovin' for someone who's loving me
Go on now, walk out the door
Turn around now
You're not welcome anymore
You're the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
Think I'd might crumble
Did you think I'd lay down and die?

No, not I, I will survive
Long as I know how to love
I know I'll stay alive
I've got my life to live
And all my love to give and I'll survive
I, I, I will survive

Go and go, walk out the door
Turn around now
You're not welcome anymore
You're the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
Do you think I'd crumble
Did you think I'd lay down and die?

No, not I, I will survive
Long as I know how to love
I know I'll stay alive
I've got all my life to live
And all my love to give and I'll survive
I, I, I will survive

It took all my strength not to fall apart
Trying' without my mind to mend my broken heart
I spent so many nights
Feeling sorry for myself, how I cried
Now I hold my head up high
And you see me, somebody new
Not that lonely little person who's still in love with you
Now you come dropping in
Expecting me to be free
but I'm saving all my lovin' for someone who's loving me

Go on and go, walk out the door
Turn around now
You're not welcome anymore
You're the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
Think I'd might crumble
Did you think I'd lay down and die?

No, not I, I will survive

You're not welcome anymore
You're the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye

We are going to be friends!

Three days to go!!!  Are you getting in the mood???  We are going to be friends!!!  Yes, we are

We Are Going to Be Friends

"We're Going To Be Friends"

Fall is here, hear the yell
back to school, ring the bell
brand new shoes, walking blues
climb the fence, books and pens
I can tell that we are gonna be friends
I can tell that we are gonna be friends
Walk with me, Suzy Lee
through the park and by the tree
we will rest upon the ground
and look at all the bugs we found
safely walk to school without a sound
safely walk to school without a sound
Here we are, no one else
we walked to school all by ourselves
there's dirt on our uniforms
from chasing all the ants and worms
we clean up and now it's time to learn
we clean up and now it's time to learn
Numbers, letters, learn to spell
nouns, and books, and show and tell
playtime we will throw the ball
back to class, through the hall
teacher marks our height against the wall
teacher marks our height against the wall
We don't notice any time pass
we don't notice anything
we sit side by side in every class
teacher thinks that I sound funny
but she likes the way you sing
Tonight I'll dream while I'm in bed
when silly thoughts go through my head
about the bugs and alphabet
and when I wake tomorrow I'll bet
that you and I will walk together again
I can tell that we are gonna be friends
Yes I can tell that we are gonna be friends.

Rock and Roll High School!!!

Another classic , The Ramones and their Rock and Roll High School!

"Rock 'n' Roll High School" is a song by American punk rock group the Ramones, from the soundtrack album Rock 'n' Roll High School.

Enjoy!!!

"Rock N Roll High School"

Well I don't care about history
Rock, rock, rock'n'roll high school
'Cause that's not where I wanna be
Rock, rock, rock'n'roll high school
I just wanna have some kicks
I just wanna get some chicks
Rock, rock, rock, rock, rock'n'roll high school

Well the girls out there knock me out, you know
Rock, rock, rock'n'roll high school
Cruisin' around in my GTO
Rock, rock, rock'n'roll high school
I hate the teachers and the principal
Don't wanna be taught to be no fool
Rock, rock, rock, rock, rock'n'roll high school

Fun fun rock'n'roll high school
Fun fun rock'n'roll high school
Fun fun rock'n'roll high school
Fun fun, oh baby

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!! 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR

Here we are again!  Back to school!!!  We are getting there, we are almost there!
Let us help you to come back to school happier than ever!!!!

It’s that time of year again, where thousands of kids across the country are saying goodbye to summer freedom and getting back to the daily grind of going to class.

For some, September is an exciting time – meeting new friends, new teachers.  For others, it’s a dreadful time – homework, detention, cafeteria food or climbing the rope in gym class.

Whether you are beginning high school or off to experience Start Week for the first time, the English Department at Sagasta High has put together a list of songs that will either get you pumped for school or wishing you had another month of summer vacation.

Feel free to add your favourite back-to-school song in the comment section at the bottom of this post.

To start, let´s listen to a classic, Pink Floyd!

"Another Brick in the Wall" is the title of three songs set to variations of the same basic theme, on Pink Floyd's 1979  rock opera, The Wall, subtitled Part 1 (working title "Reminiscing"), Part 2 (working title "Education"), and Part 3(working title "Drugs"). All parts were written by Pink Floyd's bassist, Roger Waters. Part II is a protest song against rigid schooling in general and boarding schools in the UK in particular.[1] It was also released as a single and provided the band's only number-one hit in the United Kingdom, the United States, West Germany and many other countries.

PINK FLOYD  "Another Brick in The Wall"

We don't need no education

We don't need no thought control

No dark sarcasm in the classroom

Teachers leave them kids alone

Hey! teachers! leave the kids alone!

All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

We don't need no education

We don't need no thought control

No dark sarcasm in the classroom

Teachers leave them kids alone

Hey! teacher! leave us kids alone!

All in all you're just a another brick in the wall.

All in all you're just a another brick in the wall.

-smooth guitar solo-

"Wrong, do it again!"

"Wrong, do it again!"

"If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding.
how can you

Have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?"

"you! yes,
 you behind the bikesheds,
stand still laddy!"
